We are looking forward to the time when we can all get together for dinner but in the meantime, we enjoyed our Spring Dinner at Home, a delicious meal from La Terrazza delivered to our doors. Chef Tim O’Brien prepared a superb menu starting with a Tomato Bruschetta to accompany our bottle of Charles de Fère Cuvée Jean-Louis Brut sparkling wine followed by the most delicious Truffle Burrata Lasagna with mixed sauteed wild mushrooms, wilted spinach, ricotta and burrata cheese with a parmigiano cheese gratin and a truffle Alfredo cream sauce, full of flavour and totally decadent! We followed with melt-in-the-mouth Braised Wagyu Veal cheeks, celery root puree, asparagus and mushrooms, with a 2017 Casa Rojo Enemigo Mio from Jumilla, Spain, and ended with a Warm White Chocolate Mascarpone Cheesecake wrapped in phyllo with sour cherries and a strawberry coulis. A wonderful ending to a splendid meal.

Our thanks go to members Larry Burr for organising the Zoom reception preceding the meal, volunteer drivers Joe Alesi, Dick Bradshaw, Garfield Marshall, and Roy Gould and to Jack Segal for his assistance in initiating the event. Also to Giulio Miceli and Chef Tim O’Brien for a magnificent dinner.
